Annual diagnostic and wellness checkup can help reassure you that your pet is healthy or help us detect hidden diseases or conditions early.
Our young wellness program is designed to help get your new addition started on the right path to a long and healthy life.
The first few months are a critical period in your young pet's development, and we can give you the support and tools necessary to help him or her grow into a well-mannered, healthy pet, including information and advice on nutrition, potty training, and behaviour.
Bringing your pet in for an annual diagnostic and wellness checkup can help reassure you that your dog or cat is healthy or help us detect hidden diseases or conditions early. Early detection can improve the prognosis of many diseases, keep medical costs down, and help your pet live longer. Many dogs and cats are good at hiding signs that something is wrong, so subtle changes in their health or behavior might be easy to overlook. And, depending on the disease, some pets don’t show any symptoms.
As dogs and cats get older, they need more attention and special care. Our senior wellness program can help your pet remain fit and healthy as he or she ages and help us catch any potential problems earlier, when they’re easier to treat or manage. Regular veterinary exams can actually help your pet live longer, too!
Paramount Animal Hospital offers affordable spay and neuter surgeries to prevent undesirable pet behaviors, unwanted pregnancies, birth defects, reproductive cancers, prevent traumatic injuries as a result of roaming, fighting and sexually transmitted diseases.

We follow strict protocols and continually monitor your pet’s vital signs to help ensure her safety. To set up an appointment to have your pet spayed or to learn more about this procedure, call or visit our clinic.
Neutering involves surgical removal of both testicles. It is performed under a general anesthetic and is consider major surgery. It is important that all factors including pre-surgical blood, health status, anesthetic preparation be optimal before undertaking this procedure. When you need or just want to go out of town, you will have peace of mind knowing that your pets will be well cared for in a safe, clean, loving environment.
We offer professional grooming for all breeds of dogs and cats at our clinic. Certain breeds—especially those with long hair that mats easily—may need assistance keeping themselves clean. Animals that are older or have physical disabilities may also benefit from our grooming services. If your pet is having trouble taking care of regular grooming, it can be a sign of an underlying health issue. Be sure to mention this when you schedule an appointment.
Ease your concerns about leaving your pet behind while you’re away: Let our staff take care of him or her. We can accommodate any special care or needs your dog or cat might have.
We provide amenities such as clean bedding and water bowls, but feel free to bring your own if you’d prefer. You can also bring toys and other personal items that are washable.
Nail trimming is equally as important for your pet’s health. Nails that grow too long can cause pain when walking for it puts pressure on the toes. Untrimmed nails can also grow into the paw pads, causing infection.
